Matt
I joined the military in 1991, serving for 21 years before leaving the Armed Forces in 2012. During my service, I developed the discipline, precision and attention to detail that continues to shape my work today. In 2008 I began my journey as a professional tattoo artist, balancing military life with my passion for tattooing before making it my full-time career
Today I am the proud owner of Voodoo Ink, an award winning tattoo studio in Lincoln. Over the past 18 years, I've built a reputation for creating high-quality custom tattoos in a welcoming, professional environment where every client feels welcomed and valued.
I love the diversity that tattooing offers and enjoy working across all styles, from black and grey realism and vibrant colour pieces to fine line, traditional, new-traditional, Japanese-inspired designs, script, geometric work, cover ups and reworks. Every tattoo is custom designed to suit the individual, creating a piece that is both personal and built to stand the test of time.

My experience has given me a deep understanding of design placement and how tattoos work with the body. Whether you're getting your first tattoo or adding to an existing collection, I take the time to understand your ideas, offer honest advice and create artwork you'll be proud to wear for life.

How do I book a tattoo or piercing?
If you click on the "Book Now" button at the top of our site, or press either the Facebook or Instagram button on our booking page, you will be taken straight to our Facebook page where you can send us a message. Alternatively, you can email us at voodoo-ink@outlook.com or call 01522 510488 to speak to Lucy.
What information should I include in my message?
For a tattoo inquiry, please include size, placement ideas, style, and any reference material you may have.

Can I book a consultation?
Absolutely! We can make you an appointment to come in and discuss your ideas with Matt. Your consultation might result in you being able to book straight in, or it may require Matt to draw up your piece for you to review before booking. All this is done free of charge.

What do tattoos cost?
This is a bit like asking how long a piece of string is. The cost will depend entirely on the design, detail,, range of colors, etc. We price each piece individually, and that price is set before your tattoo starts—no hourly rate, nasty surprises. Tattoos start from £40.
What about aftercare?
After both tattoos and piercings you will receive a comprehensive aftercare guide. Piercings also come with a free aftercare solution. For tattoos, we carry a range of tattoo goo aftercare products that are available for purchase.

How long do I need to wait for an appointment?
This is heavily dependent on availability for both parties. We can normally make you an appointment within 4 weeks of you contacting us. Saturdays are the fastest days to book up, but we will do what we can to get you in as soon as possible.
​
What piercings do you do?
We do most ear piercings from lobes to industrials, as well as nose, septum, and navel piercings. we do not offer piercings for tongues, nipples, or genitals.
​
Do I need to book for a piercing?
Yes. Piercings need to be booked just like tattoos. There is only Matt to do both piercings and tattoos, so an appointment is needed to see him.
